Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.Want to be a part of it?What will you be doing?M Group Ltd (Water) is recruiting for a Head of Operational Delivery to join our Senior Management Team on the newly secured: Welsh Water Network Alliance Framework for AMP8 and assume responsibility for all operational aspects of delivering the following customer centric workstreams: Progressive Metering, Reactive Metering, Developer New Connections, Lead Replacement Programme & Private Side Leakage. of our Capital work Streams. The role will be based in South Wales with the potential for agile working and will cover the whole of the Welsh Water NetworkThis is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Operational Delivery to take the lead on the strategic development and growth of the team through mobilisation and transition into the new AMP8 arrangements. This is a key role in supporting and working alongside other Heads of that form the Senior Management Team delivering essential services across multiple workstreams for our key client Welsh Water,As the Head of Operational Delivery your responsibilities will include:
  • To provide Operational expertise and excellence on all operational aspects across all disciplines and workstreams on the Lot1 WP1 WNA frameworks.
  • Build a close and collaborative working relationship with all members of the senior leadership team.
  • Provide Leadership and support of all colleagues across a wide range of functions, supporting development, diversity and inclusion and championing employee engagement
  • Ensure resource requirements are met, now and the future, investing in technical, behavioural and safety development.
  • Build long-lasting and engaging client relationships, promoting the values of MGroup and continually supporting clients' needs to deliver the best possible solutions.
  • Responsibility of implementing and enabling the highest standards of Safety compliance and driving a positive wellbeing culture throughout the whole team
  • Ensure teams are supported by robust and comprehensive systems and processes.
  • Accountability of delivery of all Contractual and Commercial KPI's, Quarterly and Annual Business Plan targets
  • P&L accountability
What you'll bring
  • Previous Senior Management experience in Operational delivery, ideally within the Water sector.
  • Possess a high degree of commercial/strategic awareness.
  • Demonstrable high level of communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to be decisive and work effectively under pressure.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills to inspire and motivate a team, while effectively managing senior client stakeholders
  • Confident in delegating tasks while maintaining full oversight of all functions within the team.
  • Ability to deal with conflict in a timely and equitable manner by adopting tact and diplomacy in an assertive fashion.

  • Have relevant experience at working at this level with a proven track record
  • Have a relevant Management or Professional qualification. Including being part of an industry recognised body
  • NEBOSH or similar qualifications
