We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.The shift pattern is 37.5 hours worked over 4 days.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse to lead our Urology nursing team in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. You will have overall responsibility for the assessment and delivery of person centred care needs for your patient group ensuring Clinical Governance, staff and financial management and Quality Assurance standards are met.You will directly manage a staff compliment of Registered and Non-registered health care professionals within our ward area. The ward is made up of 28 beds, providing nursing care to elective and emergency patients. Staff development leadership, supervision and appraisal will be fundamental to this role as well as high level communication with the wider multidisciplinary team.You will be responsible to the Lead Nurse for ENT, Urology & Outpatients and as such will also contribute to the whole service delivery working closely with the senior management team. You will ensure there are safe robust systems of work in place to effectively manage the whole patient system flow and positive patient experience. You should be a registered nurse with a degree or equivalent and should have significant experience as a Band 6 Charge Nurse.
