Engineering ManagerSalary: £50,000 - £55,000Shift: Days (Monday to Friday)Location: StockportAre you ready to lead and grow within a thriving industrial environment? We're looking for an experienced and ambitious Engineering Manager to take ownership of our engineering function and drive operational excellence across the site. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a small, capable team and supporting critical plant and equipment performance.Skills required for the Engineering Manager
  • Leadership experience
  • Minimum HNC in Engineering
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Fault-finding skills with PLCs
  • A driven, humble leader who balances hands-on support with effective team development
Responsibilities include:
  • Planning and prioritising daily maintenance and engineering tasks
  • Leading shutdowns, CAPEX projects and managing external contractors
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and legal regulations (power presses, LEV, HVAC, etc.)
  • Managing budgets, training records, recruitment and performance reviews
  • Driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives
