Quantity Surveyor

- Manage all commercial and contractual activities for flooring projects (e.g., vinyl, timber, resin, carpet, tiles, etc.)
- Take off quantities and prepare accurate cost estimates and bills of quantities
- Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Procure subcontractors, negotiate rates, and manage payment processes
- Evaluate project risks and support contract negotiation
- Track project costs, margins, and cash flows against budget
- Provide regular commercial reports to senior management
- Liaise with clients, site teams, and suppliers to ensure alignment on scope and commercial terms
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions (JCT, NEC, etc.) and company procedures
- Minimum 3 years’ QS experience, ideally within flooring or specialist subcontracting
- In-depth knowledge of flooring materials, installation methods, and finishes
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with tendering processes, cost plans, and procurement strategies
- Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QS software (e.g., Bluebeam, Measure, ConQuest)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities
- Full UK driving licence (travel to site may be required)
