Mobile Vehicle Technician Required in Cambridge, Huntingdon and Peterborough
  • Basic Salary: Up to £37,000 + OTE £45,000
  • Nationwide Renound Breakdown Company
  • 40hr week Monday - Friday, between 7am and 8pm (shifts arranged in advance).
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays (either Saturday or Sunday - not both!)
  • OT in week 1.25x, 1.5x on a weekend.
  • Company Vehicle - Fully equipped!
Mobile Vehicle Technician required for Breakdown Company in Cambridgeshire.Our client a well-known vehicle rental business is seeking Mobile Vehicle Technician in the Cambridgeshire, ideally one based in each of Cambridge, Huntingdon and Peterborough.With over 50 years trading experience, our client are known as the go-to breakdown company! With a nationwide fleet of over 55,000 vehicles and counting you can ensure you'll never be left waiting for work!Being mobile, your van, which will be a new Model, will be equipped with latest tooling and diagnostic equipment required, most of the work will be servicing and general maintenance of vehicles whilst off site, also some diagnostic repairs and fault finding. Your aim: ensuring we get their vehicle back on the road safely and in quick time. Jobs are sent through 5 days in advance so the days can be planned well ahead.You will be working on combination of Cars and LCVs. This role would suit individuals who love to problem solve on a variety of makes and models of vehicles!What's in it for you as a Mobile Vehicle Technician?

  • To delivers maintenance, servicing, and warranty work for a fleet of circa 900 vehicles - combination of predominantly Vans, Light Commercial vehicles, and Cars.
  • Using your technical knowledge to work on the electrical and mechanical systems for a range of light commercial vehicles
  • You will use the diagnostic equipment to get to the root cause of faults, carry out technical maintenance, repair or replace parts, perform preventive maintenance and MOT preparation
  • Ensure their customer vehicles get back on the road where they belong as quickly as possible, allowing their customers to keep their promises.
What our client expects of their Mobile Vehicle Technician:
  • You are a level 2 or 3 NVQ or City and Guilds qualified Motor Vehicle Technician with a solid workshop background within either Commercial Vehicle Mechanic role or Car Technician position
  • You know how to work in a standard job time structure with a focus on producing compliant, high-quality work.
  • Be able to prioritise and plan your work is key.
  • Take pride being part of the team and are keen to help colleagues with a hands-on, can-do approach to getting things done.
  • You take pride in providing a great customer experience each day - you understand what is important to your customers and suppliers.
