
Band 6 Paediatric Audiologist

- BSc in Audiology or equivalent.
- Evidence of recent post graduate Paediatric Assessment experience.
- A current clean UK driving licence and own vehicle.
- To lead diagnostic clinics and assess the hearing of children and young people aged from 6 months to 19 years of age using a range of specialist behavioural techniques as well as advanced tests of middle ear function.
- To work autonomously, following all national and local protocols and guidelines and be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care.
- To lead review clinics for children with confirmed hearing loss or for children with conditions with associated risk factors for hearing loss and make outcome decisions for further referral/further monitoring as appropriate.
- To demonstrate highly specialist paediatric skills in dealing with very young children or children/ young people with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.
- To participate in audit and research projects to further own and the teams clinical practice.
- To maintain accurate and timely electronic records including audiological assessments and onward referrals in line with core standards and trust policy.
