Who we are looking forState Street Global Technology Services (GTS) is seeking a skilled and proven Head of Technology Control Design, Testing, and Automation, MD to oversee a robust framework for technology controls within the organization. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and automating effective control mechanisms, ensuring rigorous testing processes, and aligning technology risk management strategies with enterprise objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of risk management, technology governance, and automation strategies to drive efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance compliance in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.What you will be responsible for1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and lead the organization’s technology control strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish a cohesive framework for technology control design, testing, and automation.
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on technology risk and control matters.
2. Technology Control Design:
  • Lead the design of comprehensive technology controls to address risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed controls within technology processes, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Identify control gaps and develop solutions to mitigate risks effectively.
3. Testing and Assurance:
  • Oversee the development and execution of rigorous control testing programs to validate effectiveness and adherence to standards.
  • Ensure the timely identification, escalation, and remediation of control deficiencies.
  • Partner with internal audit and external assurance teams to support technology control reviews and audits.
4. Automation of Controls:
  • Drive the implementation of advanced automation solutions to improve control efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Leverage technologies to streamline testing, monitoring, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure automated controls are robust, scalable, and integrated into the technology landscape.
5. Team Leadership:
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of technology control and risk professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.

  • Minimum of 12-15+ years proven related experience with 7-10 years experience as part of a leadership team
