If you’re confident, organised, and take pride in being the person the team can rely onkeep reading.About the roleYou’ll be supporting solicitors across various departments with a mix of administrative and secretarial work. From audio typing and preparing documents to managing diaries and handling sensitive client correspondence, no two days will be quite the same. It’s a hands-on role where your ability to stay calm, focused, and a step ahead will make a genuine difference to how smoothly the team operates.About the clientThis is a long-established legal practice based in the heart of Darlington. You’ll be joining a professional but relaxed working environment where teamwork matters just as much as talent.Working hoursMonday to Friday, 9am5pm.Key duties:Audio typing and document preparation using digital dictationManaging incoming correspondence and client callsBooking appointments and maintaining solicitor diariesFiling, photocopying, and other general administrative tasksHandling confidential information with care and discretionKey requirements:Previous experience as a legal secretaryStrong typing and IT skills, including confidence with digital dictationExcellent written and verbal communicationHighly organised, with the ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressureA proactive, supportive attitude someone who takes ownership of their work
