Starting: SeptemberPrimary Duties:
- Teach science to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those on the Autism spectrum, with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and other complex conditions.
- Modify and tailor the science curriculum to accommodate the specific needs and learning styles of each student.
- Develop and deliver engaging and accessible lessons, utilising hands-on experiments and visual aids to enhance understanding.
- Integrate Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) objectives into all teaching and assessment activities.
- Provide comprehensive academic and pastoral support to students, helping to build their confidence and self-esteem.
- Work effectively in a team with other teachers, support staff, and parents.
- Maintain diligent records of student progress and achievements.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and success of the school's science department.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has the legal right to work in the UK.
- Possesses a valid Enhanced DBS check (or is prepared to apply for one).
- Has a proven track record of teaching SEN students within UK schools.
- Is skilled in managing a classroom and guiding student behaviour.
