
Senior Insurance Operations Associate, Europe Operations

- Thoroughly review and monitoring in-scope submissions processing and clearance in line with agreed service levels.
- Manage work assignment and completion of tasks related to the underwriting lifecycle, including submissions analysis, new business and renewal quote preparation, non-renewals, technical accounting, document issuance, endorsements (financial and non-financial) and cancellations.
- Manage and support account documentation and document storage, including quotations, evidence of cover (policies), statements of values, engineering reports, actuarial pricing models, reinsurance contracts, policy endorsements, and cancellations.
- Ensure in-scope underwriting submissions are stored and indexed, within service levels.
- Complete accurate and timely policy data entry, as required.
- Perform data cleansing and input additional risk information, ensuring accuracy in data quality, as required.
- Liaise with underwriters and brokers to process underwriting premium corrections efficiently, as required.
- Help to support Europe Operations Management team in closing Corporate Audit corrective actions and other related internal controls assurance work.
- Monitor and support all regulatory compliance (e.g., treating customers fairly) as instructed and adhere with Travelers Enterprise values and policies.
- Play a key role in creating, maintaining, reviewing, and providing sign-off for Europe Operations standard operating procedures – ensuring compliance with agreed standard formats / templates.
- Oversee training and on-boarding, once qualified, to support Europe Operations (both onshore and offshore) and other TRV Europe business functions, as required.
- Role-model and promote process standardisation and best practices across Europe Operations.
- Role model high standards of SLA compliance (both at individual and team levels), lead root cause analysis of SLA gaps and champion timely remediation.
- Represent EU Operations, as required, in internal stakeholder meetings support effective communication.
- Offer value-add support to design and deliver of process, people, systems, data, and regulatory change.
- Perform other assigned duties, as required.
- Support recruitment process for the Europe Operations Management team, as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships across Travelers Europe.
- Customer-centric approach with a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to support change.
- Adept at working within fast-changing business environments and flexible to the changing business requirements.
- Highly motivated, capable of independent work and comfortable in a collaborative working environment.
- Detail-focused with a high degree of accuracy in work.
- IT literate with a solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience of supporting staff recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development.
- Has started and is progressing well with their professional insurance qualifications.
- Previous experience in the commercial insurance (business insurance / B2B) products and services.
- Demonstratable experience of using data analysis and data insights to monitor operational performance.
- Demonstrable experience of process documentation (include procedures and process mapping).
- Familiarity with market leading core underwriting and support applications, subject to past work experience.
