Do you want to make a difference?You could be one of our 54k+ colleagues in over 30 countries working on inspiring projects in the most innovative companies.Join us and start building tomorrow’s world today!Job DescriptionWhat will you be doing?As an Electrical Engineer in our Asset Operations Technical Service & Delivery (TS&D) team, you will provide in-field electrical engineering expertise, supporting Area Managers, Technicians, and contractors with both high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) equipment.Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Leading by example, ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements.
  • Providing site-level electrical engineering support across wind, solar, and BESS assets.
  • Supporting planned maintenance, fault-finding, and emergent works on Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) and generation plant.
  • Creating and reviewing work scopes, instructions, and quality plans.
  • Challenging current processes, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Managing technical queries from teams, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Reviewing, updating, and approving site electrical documentation (single-line diagrams, drawings, test data).
  • Managing asset change processes, including modifications, retrofits, and repairs.
  • Scoping requirements for external specialists (e.g. Root Cause Analysis) to ensure asset integrity.
  • Identifying and categorising risks, ensuring they are logged and tracked.
  • Training to become a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) under EDF-re E&M Safety Rules.

QualificationsExperience, skills and qualifications required:
  • Bachelors in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • NEBOSH/IOSH (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of HV systems: installation, operation, maintenance, and testing of switchgear, transformers, XLPE cables, joints, and terminations.
  • Experience within power generation, ideally including renewables (wind/solar/BESS). Offshore experience desirable.
  • Ability to prioritise defect management and maintain safe working environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
