This is a key position within the finance team, focused on managing client accounts and ensuring the smooth recovery of fees. The successful candidate will:
- Take responsibility for contacting clients to secure payment of outstanding invoices
- Work closely with partners in monthly review meetings to agree next steps on aged debt
- Maintain clear, accurate records of all collection activity
- Resolve client billing queries quickly and professionally
- Oversee the shared credit control inbox and prepare regular updates for the team
- Support quarterly debt provisioning and highlight issues where needed
- Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues across the firm
We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller who can bring expertise and confidence to a busy professional services environment. You will have:
- A solid credit control experience
- Previous exposure to working in a law firm or other partnership/professional services setting – essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines independently
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal directly with partners and clients
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with Elite 3E would be an advantage
