A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its busy and well-established team in Lincoln. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of private client matters while contributing to the departments growth and maintaining the firms reputation for excellence.The Role
The successful candidate will be confident, proactive, and well-organised, with proven expertise in private client work, including:Drafting Wills, including those incorporating trusts for complex family situationsInheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) planningPreparing and registering Powers of Attorney, EPAs and LPAsCourt of Protection mattersAdministration of taxable and non-taxable estatesIdentifying trust administration requirementsYou will also work with the departments marketing initiatives to promote the firms reputation and build client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality service to existing clientsWork with partners and fee earners to develop new businessContribute to departmental development and growthAchieve fee income targetsStay up to date with legislation and best practice in private client lawManage billing and cash flow effectivelyCarry out fee-earning work in line with quality and risk management proceduresPerson SpecificationEssentialQualified Solicitor or Legal ExecutiveExperience across mainstream private client matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, mental capacity issues, tax planning, estate administration, and trustsStrong organisational and caseload management skillsKnowledge of Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors Account RulesIT literate, including case management systemsExcellent communication, written, and numeracy skillsAbility to handle sensitive client issues and maintain high professional standardsDesirableSTEP qualification or willingness to work towards itExperience with agricultural estates or high-net-worth clientsSupervisory experienceMarketing, business development, and public speaking skillsExisting client followingAttributesProfessional, proactive, and positive approachHigh integrity, empathy, and client careResilient under pressure and able to meet deadlinesFull driving licence and access to a car for inter-office travel and client appointmentsBenefits
