- Provide targeted support to pupils with SEND, both in the classroom and through small-group or one-to-one interventions.
- Plan and deliver learning activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo.
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of pupils' progress, maintaining detailed records.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt lessons and materials to meet individual needs.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment, supporting pupils' social and emotional development.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Support with the development of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and other SEN documentation.
- Provide cover for lessons where required, ensuring continuity in teaching and learning.
- HLTA experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other additional needs.
- A strong understanding of differentiation strategies and behaviour management techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and ensuring equal opportunities for all pupils.
- First Aid training (desirable but not essential).
