This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, EC&I Technician to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.As an EC&I Technician, what you'll be doing:The Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of engineering systems. This role involves providing around-the-clock engineering support for all EC&I maintenance activities, which include both preventative maintenance and reactive tasks. Their responsibilities ensure the optimal performance and reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems, which are vital for the seamless functioning of various industrial processes. Here's a breakdown of their key duties:
  • Provide comprehensive support for all electrical engineering tasks, including the preventative and routine maintenance of plant machinery, three-phase electrical equipment, and PLC/automation systems.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to unscheduled or emergency maintenance situations.
  • Enhance system reliability through regular preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Execute any ad hoc electrical maintenance tasks or projects as required.
What we'll need from you:
  • In depth knowledge of Automation or PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification, a completed electrical apprenticeship, and experience within as a Shift Engineer, or equivalent role.
  • Understanding of BS 7671 Electrical Regulations.
