- Develop and modify C# control software using Visual Studio and a bespoke API for automation and custom software solutions.
- Support legacy systems in VB6 and assist worldwide customers and engineers remotely with fault-finding and integrating new functionalities.
- Work on-site occasionally to provide hands-on support and ensure seamless system integration and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with design engineers to provide input into hardware design and develop core product software.
- Interface with third-party equipment using C# language and protocols such as Ethernet, Serial, Ethercat, CAN, and Profibus.
- Analyse engineering systems to advise on automation methods and post-test diagnostics for fault rectification within complex engineering systems.
- A strong engineering background with excellent fault-finding abilities and a proactive approach to learning new concepts.
- Proficiency in C# and Visual Studio, with experience in other programming languages considered a plus.
- A degree in electrical, mechanical, robotics, mechatronics, or automation engineering is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with logical thinking and effective time management.
- A full UK driving licence with the ability to travel occasionally, including potential overseas trips.
