Senior Assistant Company Secretary12 months FTCKent, UKWe are delighted to be working with a high-growth challenger bank based in Kent, who are looking to hire a Senior Assistant Company Secretary to join their well-oiled Secretarial Team. This will be a 12-month FTC with the opportunity to apply your secretarial expertise to support and ensure the company is compliant and keeping up to date with its governance responsibilities.This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for their next secretarial challenge and will provide the necessary exposure to develop one's already established secretarial experience. This is a hybrid role.The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting Company Secretariat in ensuring compliance obligations under the Listing Rules, Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules, Market Abuse Rules Regime, Companies Act 2006 and UK Corporate Governance Code are met.
  • Advising and assisting with Shareholders Services including organising the Annual General Meeting.
  • Assisting with the Management of the Board, Committee and Subsidiary Meetings. This will include acting as Secretary on one or more Board Committees and drafting minutes for meetings.
  • Leading on the Companies insurance processes, including liaising with the insurance brokers and responsible business owners to ensure the insurance policies are renewed on time.
  • Overseeing the Companies whistleblowing process and conducting training to ensure any whistleblowing concerns are examined appropriately.
  • Ensure that the team fully understand and comply with the organisation's Risk Management and Data Governance Policies.
The successful candidate will possess:
  • 5+ years of experience (or comparable) as an Assistant Company Secretary
  • 3+ years of experience (or comparable) to listing obligations
  • 1+ year of experience (or comparable) to share plans
  • Strong PLC experience
  • Experience working within a Bank or Financial Services (ideally working in one now or was working within the sector in their last role)
