Temp to permEssential Recruitment are currently working with a local company in the Dinnington area for a Van Driver/Warehouse operative to join the business on a temp to perm basis.Applicants must have previous experience working in a warehouse environment and be confident driving a commercial vehicle.Main duties include:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate manual handling techniques
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Perform routine maintenance on the van and report any mechanical issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Receive and process incoming stock
- Inspect items for damage and report any discrepancies
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records
- Keep the warehouse clean and free from hazards
- Check the quality and condition of products before they are shipped
- Maintain records of stock levels, orders, and deliveries
- Use warehouse management software to input data and track inventory
- Previous experience in the warehouse sector
- Comfortable using Excel
- Must be over the age of 25 due to insurance requirements
- Full clean driving licence
