- Take the lead and work independently on academy/emerging player group psychology as directed by the Head of Talent Pathways.
- Assist the lead psychologist for the professional players in the day-to-day psychological support of the professional players, specifically focusing on the second team.
- Assist the department lead in other duties as agreed by the department lead.
- Ensure high quality communication with the Head of Talent Pathways and their team as well as the psychology department lead.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Sport & Exercise Psychologist.
- Experience working in elite sport.
- Significant experience working within a multidisciplinary team and delivering both group and individual work.
- Expertise in adolescent brain development and its role in player development and evaluation of talent.
- Enhanced DBS.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience in working with elite youth athletes in a professional environment (preferably professional cricket).
- Experience in delivering performance psychology and leading initiatives related to performance psychology and culture within elite sporting pathways.
- Training in psychology profiling tools (e.g., Insights, Spotlight).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to positively influence a variety of stakeholders.
- High professional standards, with a drive for excellence in all they do.
- Approachable and empathetic.
- Motivated and hard-working, recognising the need to ‘muck in’ to the team.
- Collaborative approach to working.
