🛠 Sector: Water / Utilities / InfrastructureAre you an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in water treatment or utilities projects? We're looking for a skilled contractor to join a dynamic team delivering essential infrastructure upgrades in the Walsall area.🔍 Role Overview:As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment on water treatment sites. This includes pumps, valves, pipework, and associated mechanical plant.✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical installation and assembly of water treatment equipment
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and P&IDs
- Working with pumps, valves, pipework (stainless and ductile iron), and other mechanical systems
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
- Collaborating with engineers and site supervisors to meet project deadlines
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in the water/utilities sector
- CSCS or equivalent safety certification
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Own tools and PPE
- Competitive daily rate of £250 per day
