- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, particularly those with cerebral palsy
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist in adapting learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs of students with cerebral palsy and other SEN
- Support students in developing their independence and life skills
- Monitor and record student progress, providing regular updates to teachers and parents
- Implement behavior management strategies and promote positive behavior
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs of students with cerebral palsy
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall development of SEN support strategies
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Proven experience working with students with SEN, particularly cerebral palsy
- In-depth knowledge of various SEN and their impact on learning
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and alternative communication methods
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Physical ability to assist with student mobility and personal care needs
- First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Adapting teaching materials and methods to suit the student's learning style and physical abilities
- Using specialized equipment and assistive technologies to facilitate learning and communication
- Breaking down complex tasks into manageable steps
- Providing physical support for writing, typing, or using educational tools
- Encouraging independence while offering necessary assistance
