We have a new opportunity for a Mechanical Commissioning Technician in Cumbria to work with our Client in the Nuclear Industry.The Commissioning Technician reports to the Commissioning Engineer and will be responsible for:Ensuring Safety is the highest priority on the project with a continued strive towards Zero Harm and be a role model for all aspects of safety, ensuring a proactive approach to nuclear, radiological, conventional and environmental safetyCarrying out all testing activities throughout all stages of commissioningContributing to the production of test documentation and to the initiation and implementation of FOBs and TQsPerforming testing activities for witnessing by third partiesApplication and removal of Temporary Commissioning AidsContributing to the recording of supporting data in accordance with test requirementsAbility to utilise completions management systems to manage commissioning activities
and to perform commissioning work against a project scheduleAbility to take part in multi discipline design reviews and work with the engineering teamESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSTime served or equivalent in an engineering discipline e.g. piping or electrical disciplinePreference for ONC or equivalent or route to achieve the qualificationProject commissioning experienceIOSH Working Safely or equivalentCurrent Trade card in relevant disciplineDesign Tools/Software:
