JOB- Quality Engineer
LOCATION- Newport
TERM- 3-6 Month Contract (Outside IR35)
PAY RATE- £25-£30 p/h DOEWe are looking for a Quality Engineer on a Contract basis in the Newport area to work closely with manufacturing, product development and customer service as a key resource to develop internal manufacturing and service processes with the aim of improving quality, delivery, cost performance and continuous improvement.The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • 3 years experience in Manufacturing Environment
  • Great knowledge and understanding of ISO9001
  • Internal auditor
  • Self-motivated individual
  • Right first time approach
  • Passionate about Quality
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
  • Drive standardisation on processes along with waste elimination and continuous improvement
  • Hands on role investigating NCR's
  • Drive zero defect mentality in the process
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely manner
  • Lead internal audits
  • Monitor supplier performance, define process parameter to ensure process capability
  • Monitor output, quality & scrap rates. Improving OTD performance
  • Maintain records of products and approved suppliers
  • Continually improve QMS processes
