The applicant must be able to support effective team working and deliver excellent patient care demonstrating our core values.You should be a patient focused individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.This post offers exciting opportunities to support the delivery of high quality dental services to address the current unmet dental needs of the population across NHS Borders.The post holder will work as a Dental Hygiene Therapist within the Public Dental Service supporting Clinicians.This post sits within the Public Dental Service and will require the post holder to cover duties across clinics in Coldstream, Galashiels, and Hawick, dependant on the needs of the service.The post holder should hold a recognised Dental Hygiene Therapy and must be registered with the General Dental Council. The post holder will be expected to have knowledge and experience in secondary care Dental Procedures. You will be required to work within your range of scope across NHS Borders to support the service as required, so a full driving licence is essential.A working knowledge of R4 Clinical Plus patient management system is desirable. Experience of working within the PDS is desirable. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
