About the CompanyOakview Lodge is a dual-registered residential and nursing home based in Welwyn Garden City situated next to the QE2 hospital. We are a family-run business with family ethos and principles. What does this Senior Care Assistant job involve?Within your role as a Senior Care Assistant, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Aiding residents emotional well-being and social needs
  • Administration and monitoring of medications to residents.
  • Supporting residents at meals time
  • Mentor & assist new employees.
  • Implement, monitor and review care plans to meet residents specific needs.
  • Plan, allocate & supervise the work of the team of care assistants

  • Experience as a Senior Care Assistant & leading a team.
  • Have a friendly & caring attitude.
  • Experience of administrating medication
  • Able to engage well with the residents and their families.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social care or willing to work towards this.
  • Great communication skills, both written & verbal.
