And it's fun.Who we're looking forWe're hiring our first ever SalesOps Engineer at PostHog! Working as part of the billing team, you'll ensure that our sales tech stack scales from 12 people selling 10 products to 100+ people selling 50+ products in the future.This is a totally unique and greenfield role at PostHog - you'll need engineering chops, good systems thinking, but also a keen commercial sense. Perhaps you're a former technical founder who did a lot of sales calls and knows how annoying it is to not have the right data at your fingertips. Or maybe an engineer who has worked closely with sales teams, and likes to see a direct correlation between their work and making the numbers go up. We're happy to consider a range of profiles for this role!What you'll be doingYou'll build and maintain the entire system (workflows, integrations, and data structures) that keep our sales, CS, and onboarding teams working effectively as we scale super fast. Some specific examples:Take the lead on structuring our sales and CS data architecture. We have decent stuff in place, but it could probably be a lot better. Please tell us what to do!Ensure the sales & CS teams have the right data at their disposal to do their jobs effectively.Automate the heck out of sales processes wherever possible.Build custom solutions to improve sales team efficiency, like workflows for smoother renewals so we don't accidentally miss someone.Maintain integrations between our main systems - today we use Salesforce, Vitally, Zendesk, and PostHog, as well as our own billing system. In the future this may just be all PostHog…RequirementsMust haveYou have extensive backend engineering experience.You are very familiar with Python and SQL.You have experience with workflow orchestration and task processing tools.Strong commercial focus - you really care about having an impact on revenueYou have started a project from scratch.
