  • Driving the successful technical delivery of high-quality projects from concept to completion
  • Taking ownership of project outcomes, ensuring they meet commercial goals through proactive project control
  • Playing a key role in securing new opportunities and nurturing strong, lasting client relationships
  • Inspiring other team members to perform at their best, fostering a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused team culture
  • Championing Pick Everard's reputation across the construction industry, helping to raise our profile and influence
  • Promoting seamless collaboration across disciplines, teams, and with clients to ensure unified project success
Find out what it is like to work at Pick Everard .About YouOur ideal Principal Structural Engineer must have:
  • Exceptional Structural Engineering knowledge with a deep understanding of key principles embedded in theory and practice, with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent verbal communication. An ability to communicate ideas, and effectively work with both clients and members of the design team
  • Experience relevant to UK practice and knowledge of UK design standards, codes of practice and methods of construction.
  • Familiarity with structural engineering modelling, analysis, and design software (Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds and STAAD Pro, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360).
  • The ability and willingness to supervise/mentor employees.
In order to stand out from the crowd, it is desirable for you to have:
  • Chartered membership of ICE or IStructE
  • The motivation to undertake relevant CPD and to increase skills and knowledge
  • Experience in day-to-day control of resourcing, programming, planning and costs
  • Effective team management skills
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
