- Order book management and maintenance. Release of kits & expedition of internal & external supply chain shortages, including obtaining forecasts & driving supply chain improvements where required to support delivery of scheduled commitments to the customers.
- Provision of active support to the resolution of problems affecting the ability of operations to work to the workload plan.
Support effective reviews to facilitate supply chain performance and ensure any logistics actions are closed in a timely manner.
- Open, honest and timely communication with appropriate stakeholders of information effecting the successful progression of logistics and operations activities. Assist in the coordination/management of shipment and receipt of units and parts in line with the delivery schedule and export control regulations.
- Support to the achieving and reviewing of key business performance metrics and the timely implementation of any actions resulting from the reviews.
- Support any activity surrounding company health, safety and environment plans and take due responsibility for yourself and colleagues operating in your area. Ensure that all current Logistics governance requirements are adhered to.
- Ensure all transaction records are topical, comprehensive and accurate
- Process order requests, manage shortage resolution, return of equipment to vendors, and provide data as required for the contract status reviews. Interface with Major Units customer on delivery and quality
- Liaise with EPCs (procurement) on delivery performance
- Identify key blockers within Samlesbury Major Units investigate, provide suggestions and implement solutions to move the business forward.What we are looking for;
- Experience within a logistics planning and/or supply chain role and awareness of procedures and processes, including an awareness & understanding of Export Control
- IT proficient, including the use of MS software such as outlook and excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage and work well with a number of cross functional stakeholders
- Experience within a Manufacturing and supply chain environment and an awareness of governance within a such environments
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Working knowledge of EMS
- Ability to contribute to problem solving activities for the development of short and long term solutions to day to day problems
- Applicants should ideally hold a professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/Supply Chain body e.g CILT
