We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client in Southampton on a temporary basis. This role involves managing invoices, payments, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions within the accounting and finance department.
  • Process and verify supplier invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure timely preparation and execution of payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  • Respond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support the accounting and finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
Must be available on short notice and be able to work in the office full time.Have previous experience working within Accounts Payable.As the successful Accounts Payable Clerk you should have:
  • Previous experience in accounts payable within an accounting and finance environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
