Do you want to gain experience in Primrose Oncology Unit and are you willing to work hard to maintain excellent nursing care? An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Chemotherapy Nurse to work in the Chemotherapy suite in the Primrose Unit.The post holder will be responsible for administering and caring for patients receiving systemic anti-cancer treatment along with delivering high standards of specialist cancer and palliative care within the Macmillan Primrose Unit at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust.Main duties of the jobWe are looking for someone ready for a new challenge with good listening skills, a empathetic nature, excellent communicator and who is not afraid of hard work.Key responsibilities are:
  • To provide specialised nursing care. To demonstrate a high standard of practice in assessing, implementing and evaluating patient care.
  • The post holder will administer cytotoxic chemotherapy and related treatments following appropriate training
