We have a large diverse team of talented Safe & Happy People, combining their strengths and ambition to bring innovation and evolution which ensures Sustainability for all stakeholders.Across our key sectors – Water, Power, Energy and Aggregates, and supported through our regional office network supported by our manufacturing hub located in the heart of Somerset which forms part of our 60,000ft head office complex – we deliver diverse and interesting projects and programmes throughout UK infrastructure.Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.Role PurposeDue to some internal movements, we are currently recruiting for a Trainee Testing and Quality Engineer to work from our manufacturing capacity at HQ.We are looking for a control panel wirer who we can train to become a testing and quality engineer, ensuring the control panels we manufacture are to bridges standards. A background in control panel wiring would be advantageous.The RoleWorking from our Midsomer Norton HQ, 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday.You will be trained with an approved person to be able to complete the below.
Ensure all off-site build kit is tested correctly before leaving the building.
Ensure all off-site build kit is fully tested and complete ready for programmed deadlines.
Ensure all off-site build kit is of sufficient quality, before delivery.
To have early involvement with projects and sign-off at different intervals of the manufacturing process.
Requirements
Experience in site installation.
An interest in testing and inspection, and site commissioning (Processes and equipment used).
Experience in control panel manufacturing.
