This is a fantastic opportunity to support teaching and learning across various primary year groups, working closely with teachers to enhance pupil progress and well-being.Key Responsibilities:
- To support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, primarily for Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils, under the direction of the class teacher.
- Lead small group interventions and whole-class activities, ensuring all pupils are engaged and making progress.
- Cover classes for short-term absences of the class teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons.
- Assist with the preparation of resources and the creation of a stimulating learning environment.
- Work closely with colleagues and supporting staff across the school to plan work and assessments.
- Engage with parents / guardians / carers through meetings, reports and communications to support pupil learning and development.
- Uphold the school's values not just in the classroom, but throughout the school.
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status or equivalent qualification/experience - essential
- Proven experience working as a teaching assistant, ideally with experience covering classes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate pupils
- Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of children
- Right to work in the UK
