
Software Architect

- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to run discovery, clarify ambiguous requirements, and translate them into clear functional and non-functional requirements
- Enable delivery and governance, collaborate with engineers to produce a detailed roadmap, define observability requirements (metrics, logs, traces), and participate in design reviews/architecture review boards
- Shape and document solution architectures and produce target-state and integration designs that are aligned to industry best practice
- Knowledge of GDS Service Standards
- Experience as a technical architect or technical lead
- Experience designing or implementing distributed system architectures
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
- Experience working within an agile methodology
- Architecture-related qualifications, such as TOGAF
- Experience and knowledge of software engineering technologies, such as Java/Scala/C#
- Experience with multiple database technologies, including relational databases and document databases
- Cloud architecture experience/qualifications
