Start Date: September 2025Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Portsmouth (PO1) starting this September.About the role:
You will work closely with the class teacher to support children’s learning, both in class and through small group work. Your responsibilities will include:Supporting pupils to complete their work and understand new topicsRunning small group sessions in key subjects like maths and readingProviding tailored support for pupils with additional needsHelping to prepare resources, displays, and teaching materialsEncouraging a positive classroom atmosphere and promoting good behaviourSupporting school activities and events when requiredWhat we’re looking for:Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school environmentStrong communication skills and a positive attitudePatience, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a teamAn Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)This role offers a great chance to gain school-based experience and make a positive impact on pupils’ education.How to apply:
