- Good Honours Degree in Psychology or equivalent (at least Class 2 division 1)
- Good academic record (e.g. A level results/1st class degree)
- A good knowledge of current national policy around Child and Adolescent Mental Health
- A good knowledge of psychological principles in relation to childhood development and mental health.
- Experience in working with children, adolescents and/or adults with mental health problems.
- Experience in using computer software packages - SPSS, Microsoft Word, Access, Excel
- Experience of descriptive statistical analysis
- Ability to handle search through complex data sources including case notes
- Experience of audit
- Experience of database software computer packages
- Demonstrated interest in working with people with mental health problems
- Experience of audit - beyond projects undertaken for degree
- Demonstrated ability to set up databases
- Ability to work with people from different backgrounds and of different ages
- Good communication and social skills (oral and written)
- Ability to establish effective relationships with children and adults
- Excellent presentation skill - demonstrated beyond requirements for degree
