- Assisting in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for projects during tendering
- Supporting the development and maintenance of project budgets
- Gathering and analysing data on material costs, labour, and equipment.
- Helping in the preparation and management of contracts, including reviewing terms and conditions
- Monitoring contract compliance and assisting in resolving disputes and variations
- Assisting in the management of sub-contractor contracts and agreements
- Measuring and valuing work completed on site to prepare interim valuations
- Assisting in the preparation and submittal of client payment applications
- Handling subcontractor payments and ensuring timely reconciliation
- Supporting the procurement of materials and subcontractor services
- Assist with obtaining quotes, and negotiating favourable terms with suppliers
- Monitoring project costs and preparing regular cost reports
- Help identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Contribute to the resolution of financial or contractual matters when they occur.
- Ensure that all work adheres to legal, contractual and company standards
- Maintain accurate records of costs, contracts and communications.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- previous experience in the social housing sector
- possess a basic understanding of building regulations and construction methods
- effective communication and negotiation skills
- A team player who can handle balancing multiple tasks
- Good problem-solving skills as well as an eye for detail.
- A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, construction management, or a related field is advantageous
- A valid UK driving license is desirable
