We're partnering with a leading FMCG organisation to recruit a Senior Project Engineer for their site in Glasgow.This is a high-profile role where you'll lead capital and revenue projects from concept to completion, driving innovation, efficiency, and compliance across engineering operations.What You'll Be Doing
  • Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet time, budget, and quality targets.
  • Technical Authority: Provide expert guidance on equipment, processes, and standards, and lead the adoption of new technologies.
  • Strategic Planning: Support long-term capital investment planning through feasibility studies and budget forecasting.
  • Compliance & Safety: Embed health, safety, and environmental standards into every project.
  • Contractor & Financial Oversight: Manage external contractors and budgets, with authority over capital contracts up to £20k.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance site reliability and operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Packaging Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an FMCG or high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management credentials (APM or PMP preferred).
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, and BRC standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
