Description:Isle of Skye - Portree Medical Centre : GP - Partner or Fixed-term Salaried (12 months) - 5 SessionsFollowing the planned redistribution of existing Partners' sessions, we have a fantastic opportunity for a 5 session GP to join our team. If you're interested in a Fixed-term Salaried post, the 12 month term could be extended - or is also with a view to partnership - if you find that a year on Skye simply isn't long enough!If you're looking for variety, job satisfaction, wide open spaces and time with your family to engage in social, cultural and recreational activities - and if Australia seems just that little bit too far away - then Skye is for you!We are a stable team of 7 partners working with excellent practice nursing (including ANP) and admin teams, as well as NHS Highland attached staff, including a Clinical Pharmacist, First Contact Physiotherapist and Community Link Worker; morning coffee is sociable and supportive. Our manageable work load allows for a good work life balance.Our practice area encompasses the stunningly beautiful North East Skye and Isle of Raasay, with a practice population of approximately 5,500. We have two branch surgeries (one in a new purpose-built facility), rural home visits and weekly visits to the local nursing home.We offer 15-minute appointments, which are a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations. We also provide medical supervision of inpatients at Portree Community Hospital, adding a further dimension to our work.
