Staff are warm, collaborative and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils across different age ranges, gaining unique experience in both primary and secondary settings. This personalised approach means you’ll be able to make a real difference to individual learners while developing your own skills and confidence in the classroom.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering high-quality and engaging Maths lessons
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to students’ individual needs
- Help pupils stay focused, motivated, and confident in their Maths learning
- Build positive relationships with learners across different key stages
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as Maths clubs or enrichment workshops
- Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning resources
- A 2:1 or higher in Mathematics or a closely related degree
- A genuine passion for Maths and the ability to share it with young learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and supportive approach to learning and problem-solving
- An interest in progressing into teacher training or education as a long-term career
- Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
- Gain daily classroom experience supporting students at different stages of their education
- Observe outstanding teaching practice across both primary and secondary phases
