CMA Recruitment Group is proud to partner with a fast-growing services business in Andover to recruit a Financial Controller. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, and sitting on the Senior Management Team. You’ll shape the finance function and play a critical part in driving financial performance, operational rigour, and strategic decision-making.This is more than just reporting—this is your chance to modernise and build financial control in a business that’s scaling fast. You'll lead a small team, work closely with stakeholders across the business, and be a trusted advisor to the leadership team.What will the Financial Controller role involve?
  • Own and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts
  • Oversee daily finance operations with the support of a Finance Assistant
  • Build robust financial models to support budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning
  • Provide insight-driven financial analysis—spotting trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Lead the statutory audit process and manage all VAT and compliance submissions
  • Contribute to key business initiatives and support strategic projects
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller vacancy:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Strong technical and commercial finance background
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within an SME or high-growth environment
  • Confident working with finance systems and leveraging data to improve outcomes
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, with an eye for detail and a focus on improvement
