JOB-20241107-791d94d2Sanctuary Personnel has new permanent position available in Southend-on-Sea.We are currently looking for a Social Worker with an enthusiastic and professional approach to take on a new role within a Children with Disabilities Team on a full-time basis.The salary for this permanent Social Worker role is up to £37,890 per annum - This position comes with parking permits, £1000 joining incentive and £2000 at the end of each year worked, that’s £3000 on top of their first year’s salary.The main purpose of the job is to provide professional and comprehensive casework to a caseload of children and young people appropriate to experience and capabilities, to ensure the highest of professional standards and good overall knowledge of relevant legislation regulation and practice methods and also to provide support to Children with Disabilities and their Families while maintaining a safeguarding approach to protecting children.As post holder you will be required to provide professional and comprehensive casework to a caseload of children and young people appropriate to experience and capabilities. You will also have the responsbility of ensuring the highest of professional standards and good overall knowledge of relevant legislation regulation and practice methods. Another part of this role will require you to provide support to Children with Disabilities and their Families while maintaining a safeguarding approach to protecting children and provide an efficient and cost effective service to children, young people and their families, ensuring that the needs of the children and their parents/carers are professionally assessed.This role requires you to have a valid driving licence with a car available for business use as you must be able to visit locations within the Borough easily and travel outside the borough using public transport.Many benefits are available with this role such as:

Requirements of Social Worker:
  • Recognised Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or approved equivalent, BA Hons Social Work or other relevant degree in Social Work).
  • Post Qualification Diploma in Social Work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Knowledge of child protection, looked after children and associated child in need social work practice issues
  • Knowledge of methods of social work intervention
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations guidance & policy issues.
  • Knowledge & understanding of the Framework for the assessment of children in need and their families
