Protocol Education is assisting a secondary school in West London to recruit a passionate and experienced English Teacher.This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated educator to inspire students, develop their love of English, and contribute to both the academic and extracurricular life of the school. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons, support student progress, and play an active role in the department and wider school community.About the Role:Plan, resource, and deliver engaging English lessons that challenge and motivate studentsSet high expectations so that all pupils are inspired and make exceptional progressCreate a positive climate for learning by teaching routines and applying behaviour systems consistentlyNurture students’ intellectual curiosity through questioning and active engagementProvide constructive feedback to move student learning forwardContribute to curriculum development, assessment planning, and preparation for national examinationsLead enrichment activities, trips, and departmental initiatives to enhance the learning experienceCollaborate with colleagues to share best practice, participate in CPD, and improve teaching across the schoolPromote safeguarding, student welfare, and high standards throughout the schoolRole Details:Location: West LondonContract: Full-time, permanentStart Date: ASAP or negotiable for the right candidateSalary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualificationsWhat We’re Looking For:Degree-level qualification in English or a closely related disciplineQualified Teacher Status (QTS) and right to work in the UKStrong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for EnglishExcellent understanding of teaching pedagogy and curriculumExperience using data to inform lesson planning and improve pupil progressExperience raising attainment in a challenging environmentProven ability to lead enrichment activities that inspire and motivate learnersEffective behaviour management and classroom organisation skillsA reflective practitioner, open to feedback and committed to professional growthGenuine passion for the potential of every pupil and a commitment to inclusion✨ If you are an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher looking to make a real impact in a supportive, high-achieving school, we would love to hear from you.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
