- provide a specialised clinical/counselling psychology service to clients of the Complex Mesh Surgical Service; as part the multidisciplinary team providing expert care to women experiencing complications from previous mesh insertion for urinary incontinence or vaginal prolapse.
- liaise with clinical services in other health boards regarding previous treatment and post discharge management of patients in the Service.
- utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service and provide clinical and professional supervision to trainees undertaking Doctoral training.
- undertake service development which will have an impact beyond own area of practice
- provide specialist advice to other health care staff, patients, carers and other agencies.
- be managed within the Acute Psychology Service, which comprises a large group of psychologists working across a range of clinical health and neuropsychology services. This provides the post holder with a supportive Psychology collegiate.
