Manchester (Hybrid – 2/3 days in office, Tuesday to Thursday)IR35: OutsideOur client has a requirement for a Senior Electrical Designer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Manchester.Role Purpose:To deliver safe, practical, and cost-effective electrical designs for a major carbon capture project, in line with company procedures, UK legislation, and industry standards.Job Role Responsibilities:
  • Produce drawing office deliverables including:
  • Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
  • Cable Schedules
  • Material Take-Offs (MTOs)
  • Schematics, BCDs, Equipment and Cable Routing Layouts
  • Check and approve drawings to company procedures.
  • Liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure integration and quality.
  • Carry out 3D modelling using Navisworks and AVEVA E3D.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
  • ONC / OND / HNC / HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years’ engineering/design experience in relevant or similar sectors.
  • Proficient in CAD (3D modelling experience desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of HV and LV electrical design.
  • Familiar with UK legislation and standards.
  • Good understanding of electrical design working practices and installation requirements.
  • Highly motivated, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Safety and risk management focused.
