Looking to better align ourselves with our organisation needs, we take a business domain-oriented approach to organising our data engineering and data products. Data domains are very broad across our business encompassing Retail, Pharmacy, Healthcare, Marketing, Product, Merchandising and Opticians.As a Data Architect, you will report to the Lead Data Architect and you will work collaboratively with data modellers, business data analysts, solution architects, data engineers and product owners/managers to design and govern data products in our domains.You will lead conceptual, logical and physical data modelling for projects. You will review data trackers and data mapping outputs created in delivery and ensure that they align to data team standards and project scope.You will influence the Data Platform Data Architecture strategy and contribute to continuous improvement of Data Architecture processes.What you'll need to haveUnderstanding of Business Intelligence/Management Information or ML and AI solutions.Excellent conceptual, logical and physical data modelling, data lineage/data flow mapping and data quality.Understanding of Data Warehousing techniques such as Kimball dimensional modelling.Experience of Metadata Management.Experience influencing partners to adopt new strategies and ways of approaching data governance and management.Experience defining best practices and technical leadership of data governance.In-depth expertise in SQL, demonstrating database management and query optimisation.Understanding of Microsoft Cloud Data Technologies, including SQL Server, Azure, Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric, Power Apps, and Power BI.It would be great if you also haveKnowledge of Agile processes such as Scrum, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).Have relevant certifications such as DAMA/CDMP, Microsoft Azure, BCS, TOGAF, or equivalents.Experience working within a domain-based or data mesh architecture.Retail, Pharmacy, Supply Chain and Product data domain experience.Our benefitsRetirement Savings PlanDiscretionary annual bonusGenerous employee discountsEnhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a childincluding option to buy additional holiday, discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes and more.Access to free, 24/7 counselling and support through TELUS Health, our Employee Assistance Programme.We have a great range of benefits in addition to the above that offer flexibility to suit you - find out more at .
