Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a compassionate, resilient, and proactive individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people by supporting their behaviour and emotional development?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join schools inthe Rotherham (S65) area. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to implement tailored strategies that promote engagement, confidence, and personal growth, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment.Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and social, emotional needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop strategies for self-regulation.
  • Support class teachers in maintaining a productive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils to promote confidence, engagement, and progress.
  • Remain patient, calm, and adaptable when addressing challenging behaviour.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to working with pupils.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
