
Teaching Assistant (ALN)

- Providing individualised support to students with ALN, adapting learning materials and activities to meet their specific needs
- Assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records to inform teaching practices and support student achievement
- Facilitating small group and one-on-one learning sessions to reinforce key concepts and skills
- Encouraging student engagement and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support
- Minimum of 6 months experience within a UK ALN Primary/Secondary school or childcare setting
- Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or a related field (desirable)
- Knowledge of the UK education system and ALN best practices
- Proficiency in using educational technology and resources to support student learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to student success
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Resilience and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations
