A Full-time Teaching Assistant (ALN) is required to join an esteemed educational institution located in Caerphilly. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a talented team of educators, supporting students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and contributing to their academic and personal growth.The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 months experience within a UK ALN Primary/Secondary school or childcare setting. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of inclusive education practices and be well-versed in strategies to support students with diverse learning needs. The Teaching Assistant will collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that promotes student success.Key responsibilities of the Full-time Teaching Assistant (ALN) include:
  • Providing individualised support to students with ALN, adapting learning materials and activities to meet their specific needs
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records to inform teaching practices and support student achievement
  • Facilitating small group and one-on-one learning sessions to reinforce key concepts and skills
  • Encouraging student engagement and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support
