About the RoleJob Overview
  • Cleaning Operations Management: Oversee the technical cleaning team's daily activities, ensuring all cleaning tasks are delivered as per the facilities maintenance schedule (ARMS) and KPIs.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safe systems of work and health and safety regulations, particularly when working at height or in restricted areas.
  • Training & Development: Conduct inductions, refresher training, and ongoing coaching to ensure the technical cleaning team meets performance and safety standards.
  • Resource & Rota Management: Plan and prioritise resources to meet scheduled and reactive cleaning needs, ensuring standards are maintained and costs are managed effectively.
  • Team Performance Management: Review the team's performance, conduct, and cleaning standards, providing feedback and support for continuous improvement.
  • Stock & Equipment Maintenance: Manage cleaning stock levels and monitor equipment maintenance to ensure readiness and compliance with standards.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with Automation Engineers and other teams to coordinate access for cleaning tasks and maintain smooth warehouse operations.
Package DescriptionSalary & Hours
  • £31,442 per annum
  • 40 hours per week.
  • 3 on 3 off.
  • Day Shifts: 6am - 6pm.

Minimum Criteria to Apply
  • Experience working in an operational cleaning function, with experience in logistics or distribution environments preferred.
  • Proven experience in supervising or managing teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and guide team members.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Analytical skills to assess and improve cleaning performance and efficiency.
  • Strong team player with the ability to influence key stakeholders and drive results.
