Working as part of a Team in the Packing Hall, you will identify equipment faults and train other Team Members. You will monitor and report on our performance across the shift, prioritise what needs to be done to ensure we meet our production targets, KPIs, and co-ordinate activities on the line.You will also be involved in enhancing plant performance and contributing to the continuous improvement process. You will maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping and ensure that we adhere to our cleaning schedules and carry out all necessary quality checks. You will also report and record data, carry out inspections and Quality Control checks.What will be your key deliverables?Good understanding of good manufacturing practice, HACCP systems and Health & Safety in the workplaceHelping to generate and maintain compliance to DSOP’s/ Risk AssessmentsDelivery of factory performance KPI targetsYou will be the first point of contact when machinery breaks downDelivery of highest quality wrapped productionOptimisation of plant / machinery performanceCompliance to production plan – no customer shortagesContinuously driving to improve production lineAudit ready at all the time – compliance to GMP standardEquipment MaintenanceCarrying out and recording mandatory quality checks ensuring appropriate action is taken when parameters are out of specificationCover the position of Operator when requiredThe successful applicant will be able to demonstrate physical ability, dexterity and accuracy in their work. They will be able to competently and safely use a wide range of hand tools and equipment, whilst being a logical thinker who has a pro-active approach to diagnosing problems.Bring your experienceEssentialYou must have good verbal and numerical skills, basic PC skills, have a knack for solving problems and be a committed team player.You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well in a team, have great fault finding and problem solving skills along with a real flair for working with equipment.You will have a track record of improving Quality and Efficiency, be good at working with your hands and have a great eye for detail.Technically minded, hands on and can make decisions in a timely manner.DesirablePrevious experience of Coordinating Labour and assigning tasksHandling food and operating equipment operating large-scale automated machinery in a quality focused and performance driven factory environment within the packing hall.What does the recruitment process consist of?Assessments – Swift Comprehensive Aptitude, Mechanical Reasoning Aptitude and a Workplace English assessment.
