- BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification in pharmaceutical science / life science with appropriate underpinning knowledge
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with General Pharmaceutical Council or equivalent professional registration e.g. RCT
- Training in aseptic services
- Radiopharmacy training
- Quality systems training
- Experience of working as a technician in aseptic services / aseptic manufacture
- Experience of working with a quality assurance team
- Experience of working in an aseptic unit with a Manufacturer's Specials Licence
- Experience of working in a radiopharmacy
- Hard working
- Excellent accuracy, manual dexterity skills and good eye-sight to achieve precision and speed in radiopharmaceutical dispensing procedures.
- Ability to work at speed accurately and concentrate for prolonged periods of time whilst able to deal with interruptions while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent numeracy skills - ability to perform the in-process calculations required for radiopharmaceutical manufacture (e.g radioactive decay using decay tables, radioactive concentration, volumes, percentages).
- Demonstrated ability to follow set procedures
- Good team player
- Good communication and customer care skills
- Able to use initiative
- Attention to detail and meticulous approach to record keeping
- Good IT skills including the use of Excel
- Able to supervise others
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice

- Knowledge of radiopharmacy practice

- Able to work unsupervised, good time management
